Benson Park Rehabilitation Project
Prince Edward County is preparing to do some revitalization work in Benson Park in Picton, adding amenities and improving linkages with Main Street and the new parking area on King Street. The project is intended to promote the Park's usage by both visitors and residents. Many community groups have signalled their support for the revitalization project, with several community groups and organizations providing financial commitments to see the project move forward. The project will include:
- Installation of public washrooms in the park
- Rehabilitation of the pathway between the park and Main Street: Confederation Walkway, including the addition of interpretive signage outlining significant events in County history
- Installation of upgraded street lights and decorative features
- Refurbishment of the park's tennis court
- Landscaping work
