Duties and Functions: The Committee has annual contact with area schools notifying students of scholarship and criteria. The Committee meets once a year to consider the applicants and to recommend scholarships to students in Ameliasburgh Ward and as required. The Ameliasburgh Ward Scholarship Committee reports through the Corporate Services and Finance Committee.

Duties and Functions: The Audit Committee shall promote an appropriate environment for the management of public funds and a high level of accountability and ensure compliance with laws, regulations and municipal policies. The Audit Committee shall be responsible to Council for all audit matters and those items resulting from any communications from the external auditor. The Audit Committee shall meet quarterly, and at any other time, as directed by Council. The Committee will report and make recommendations to the Committee of the Whole, in conjunction with regularly scheduled meetings contained within the Finance Policy, or as called by the Mayor.

Duties and Functions: To recommend municipal financial assistance, in the form of a grant, to County volunteer or not-for-profit organizations and individuals, in accordance with criteria as detailed in policy “FI 240 Grant Requests for Financial Assistance”. The Grant Sub-Committee meets after three (3) intake dates of February 1, May 1 and October 1. The Grant Sub-Committee reports through the Corporate Services and Finance Committee.

Mandate: To act as a liaison between the County of Prince Edward and the health service providers within the municipality; to support "needs and services matching" within the municipality; to improve understanding and communications between Council, the community and health service providers; and, to advise Council on health care matters requiring municipal attention.

Duties and Functions: All properties within the Corporate limits of the Town of Picton are designated an improvement area for the purpose of improving, beautifying and maintaining municipally owned lands, buildings and structures and the promotion of the area as a business or shopping area. A sum sufficient to pay the cost of improvement, beautification, maintenance and promotion for the improvement area as contained in estimates approved by Council for the year shall be levied and borne by persons assessed for business assessment in the improvement area. They meet on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m., Committee Room, Shire Hall. The Picton BIA reports through the Corporate Services and Finance Committee.

Purpose: Continue for the next 24 months to support the transition/organizational development of the Picton Business Improvement Area (BIA) towards the implementation of the Strategic Action Plan for downtown Picton. They meet as required.

Duties and Functions: The County of Prince Edward Services Board acts in accordance with the Police Services Act. Ch.P.15 as amended by the Statutes of Ontario 1997, Ch.8. They meet on a monthly basis at the OPP Detachment Boardroom.
