Purchasing
The Purchasing department of the County of Prince Edward is located on the lower level in Shire Hall, Picton. Click here to contact the Purchasing By-law 2013
The mandate of the department is:

to provide recognized authority, consistent with applicable laws and pre-determined guidelines, which will facilitate and streamline the purchasing and accounting operations while minimizing the possibility of unauthorized purchasing activities and maintaining effective purchasing controls. |

to ensure that appropriate financial and operational management controls are applied to the decision process in spending public money, and that these controls contribute to the effectiveness of program delivery and to the accountability of the authority process. |
| • |
to procure by purchase, rental or lease the required quality and quantity of goods and/or services in an efficient and effective manner without favouritism. |
Procedures for the acquisition of goods and services and the disposal of property are mandated through the County Purchasing Policy.
Tender packages are to be returned to the Clerk's Office at 332 Main Street, Picton, Ontario.
Bidders: Mandatory Requirements:
The Corporation of the County of Prince Edward does not maintain a “Bidders List”. Bidders must register with the Purchasing Clerk for each RFP, RFQ or Tender for which they wish to submit a bid for. It is the responsibility of each bidder to ensure they have receive any addendums that may be issued.
